Dynamic Variation:

Globeville Community Farmers Market

Jun 24, 2021 - Oct 7, 2021

Focus Points Family Resource Center, the nonprofit behind Comal Heritage Food Incubator and Huerta Urbana, will celebrate the grand opening of the Globeville Community Farmers Market (GCFM) on Thursday, June 24. Formerly “Lost City Market,” the pay-what-you-can weekly farmers market will take place at Comal (3455 Ringsby Ct.) from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday through October 2021.

GCFM will offer the Globeville Elyria-Swansea (GES) community fresh produce and other goods at affordable prices and provide participants in the Huerta Urbana program - an ‘earning while learning’ urban agriculture social enterprise - experience in bringing their product to market.

“The GES community lacks access to affordable, high-quality fresh food--and this market providing that access is fundamental to the area,” said Matthew Vernon, Director of Social Enterprise at Focus Points. “We are proud that the community-developed market will continue to offer residents of the Globeville Elyria-Swansea neighborhood access to free and affordable fresh groceries using a ‘pay-what-you-can’ model.”

The market features independent local vendors who prioritize giving back to those in need. In addition to a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins from local farms, artisan vendors will provide gourmet provisions.
