Humming House with Treehouse Sanctum

Sep 10, 2017

Humming House is a quintet that embodies modern day Nashville’s blend of edgy, independent artistry with its legacies of folk, soul, and bluegrass. Formed out of informal Irish music jams and the songwriting of Justin Wade Tam, the five musicians have worked together on a sound that balances passion and energy with thoughtful arrangements. They’ve played major festivals and prestige music venues. They’ve released two studio albums and one live recording since 2011, the latest being Revelries.

Treehouse Sanctum is an alternative folk rock band from Denver, CO. Fronted by duo, Sam & Danya Lynn and backed by Andrew (drums), Ben (Bass), Jeremy (lead guitar), & Dewayne (Trumpet); the band is an “Americana orchestra” creating an illuminating fused sound of folk rock soul.

The band’s newest release, Vivere, which means “to live” in Latin, was released 05/05/17. Recorded at The Keep in Denver, CO, the album was co-produced by Grammy nominated engineer, Nick Sullivan and mastered by Grammy winner, Jonathan Russell in Nashville, TN. Having recently shared the stage with: Mumford & Sons, The Flaming Lips, Dawes, Miner, Whiskey Shivers & The Dustbowl Revival; the band has been compared to: Needtobreathe, Lord Huron, Drive By Truckers & Of Monsters & Men.

The band’s name is a nod to childhood’s eternal creativity and wisdom. Treehouse Sanctum songs possess intelligent, emotive lyrics covering heroism, love, hope and faith. Driving groove-filled rhythms meet intricately layered instrumentation and harmonies to create a complex and dynamic sound. These “vibrant & wounded” songs can be heard through the rough planks and weathered lines of Treehouse Sanctum’s latest creation, Vivere.
