Improbable Dimensions – Richard Neff

Richard Neff’s confounding abstract geometrics rely strongly on architectural elements. His art explores the depths and constructs of the third dimension. The illusions created by shape and shadow are impossible, improbable and intriguing. Color builds upon shape and design to draw the viewer into the experience. Neff’s work reflects his desire to see below the surface, in life situations, in people, and in himself. He has drawn since the time he could pick up a pencil, but only arrived at the magical transformation of acrylic on canvas later in life.
Included in the exhibit is work by his son Michael Neff, whose work is influenced by natural and geometric forms and explores the interplay between depth, form and color. He lives in Lakewood with his wife and son.
