The 2nd Human-Animal Coexistence Catalyst Series Event : Banning Wildlife Killing Contests in Colorado
Hosted by the Institute for Human-Animal Connection, Sturm College of Law, and DU Media, Film & Journalism Studies, in partnership with Project Coyote
Project Coyote's award-winning documentary KILLING GAMES: Wildlife In The Crosshairs exposes the brutal practice of slaughtering coyotes, bobcats, wolves and other wild animals for prizes and “fun,” and shows how this “wildlife management” method is cruel, unnecessary, and ineffective.
The screening will be followed with opening remarks by First Gentleman of Colorado Marlon Reis and a discussion with Camilla Fox & Dr. Marc Bekoff of Project Coyote.
The University of Denver is located on the light rail as well as numerous bus routes. Parking in the neighborhood around the University of Denver is limited and is typically restricted to 1- and 2-hour time periods. Street parking without time limitations is available approximately 5-6 blocks off campus.
There are a limited number of hourly ($2.00/hr, $8/four hrs, $10/day) parking spots available in campus parking lots and garages near the conference hall.
