Join Tom “Dr. Colorado” Noel for an annual tradition of exploring Denver’s ethnic heritage. Mother Cabrini said that the people of the West looked upon Italians as “ingenious machines for work,” referring to their often abysmal treatment. For all that, the Italians would forever change the area, from foods grown in the Platte River Bottoms and hauled to the Denargo Market for the city’s homes and restaurants, to the underworld currents of mobs and divine strife. Though Denver’s Italian neighborhoods no longer host the sons of Roma and Sicilia exclusively, the spices of countless stories are there to be savored.
Includes bus transportation, one drink ticket, a light lunch, guides and interpretation.
