Lawn Concert: Red Baraat

Jul 27, 2018

Six-member Brooklyn band Red Baraat draws on North Indian rhythms, hip-hop, funk, and New Orleans jazz to “create undeniably singular party music,” writes NPR. The band has performed during its own TED Talk; at the White House; at Bonnaroo; and at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Led by founder and bandleader Sunny Jain, Red Baraat features a smorgasbord of brassy instrumentals including trumpet, trombone, sousaphone, and sax.
