This outdoor art exhibition celebrates Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with colorful and joyful large-scale sculptures created by Los Angeles-based artist Ricardo Soltero. His artworks explore the meaning behind two Day of the Dead symbols: monarch butterflies, who, like our ancestors’ souls, return home during this time of year, and La Catrina, a female skeleton dressed in high fashion, which has become an icon of the holiday.
