On View: 'Caelum' and 'Ancient Worlds'
Sep 28, 2019 - Nov 9, 2019
Helikon Gallery is pleased to present two solo artist shows on view September 28 - November 9: 'Erica Williams: Caelum' in the main gallery, and 'Tina Jiang: Ancient World' in the annex gallery.' Both artists have garnered enthusiastic followings with Helikon audiences and more broadly across the country, and we're thrilled to present large volumes of each artist's work for the first time in our space. Free receptions for the shows will be held on Saturday, September 28 and Friday, October 4 from 6-10pm. More info at https://helikongallery.com/.
Caelum is composed of work by Erica Williams from 2017-2019 including original ink drawings, paintings, silk screens, and intaglio prints. Caelum means the “engravers’ chisel” or a faint constellation in the southern sky or in latin, “sky, heaven, atmosphere”.
Ancient World is an exhibit of evocative narrative works by Chinese-American artist Tina Jiang, presented as loose and framed prints of mixed media digital artwork.
