Feb 28, 2019

On View: February 28th - March 10th

In 1615, the indigenous chronicler Felipe Huaman Poma de Ayala walked from Ayacucho to Lima and delivered an important manuscript of 1,188 pages and 398 drawings for the King of Spain. In this document, he describes the injustices committed by the Spanish settlers on the native population and the impact of the conquest of the Andean world.

This exhibition is organized by the Cultural Center Inca Garcilaso of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
