Role Reversal (Photography Exhibition)

Mar 2, 2018 - Apr 7, 2018

Gender disparity has long influenced the way we look at art and art history. Traditionally, men are the artists and viewers, while women have been confined to the role of muse: subjects to be painted, sculpted, and photographed from the male perspective.

In Role Reversal, artists Christa Blackwood, Lissa Rivera, and Jessica Yatrofsky challenge these traditional perceptions of gender roles, beauty, and identity in visual culture. Join us for a free opening reception on March 9 (6-9 pm) to hear Blackwood and Yatrofsky speak about their work.

On view through April 7.
