Who really knows what "Mental Health" looks and feels like today? Art enables us to envision what we want to create and create what we envision. Using arts-based methods and tools for stimulating innovative thinking, the Metaphorming Workshop provides a "global common language" for people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures to freely express their ideas and solutions in ways that are personally and universally meaningful. Participants will be guided and encouraged to create symbolic models that reveal their thoughts, feelings, emotions, ideas, knowledge, views and opinions. The workshop, which takes place at McNichols Civic Center Building on Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., will draw inspiration from the beautiful multi-media art by Dorothy and Mel Tanner on display in the Lumonics Mind Spa on the first floor.
