When it Ain't Just Black and White

Apr 4, 2018

From the writer and director Denver School of the Arts's Student Sequoiah Hippoyte: "The Black
History show this year is entailed "When it Ain't Just Black and White". The Main Themes we are trying
to explore are the dichotomy of being a mixed race child, especially in the current political world.
How history applies to you when you come from two different cultures. How our history sugar coats
certain aspects of our culture and how it transcends into so many different things.
It's our most diverse year in terms of the cast, concerning race, sex and grade. So I'm very excited and
there's singing and dancing. So what's not to love."
