Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) is a cross-cultural, contemporary dance institution, rooted in African American traditions. CPRD provides dance instruction, performances and community programs. CPRD convenes artists and audiences of all backgrounds and all ages. Housed in the historic AME Shorter church in Five Points, visitors and Coloradans alike can enjoy professional performances all year.

Awakened <p>Awakened is aimed to raise awareness and help educate girls and women on how social, economic and legal barriers has impeded women to reach their maximum potential in the world. Awakened will promote social change, highlight local resources that empower women, create community amongst women of all nationalities and thus, break down barriers.<br />The event will collect handbag and other accessories for working women to be donated to non‐profit beneficiary, Dress for Success Denver. A portion of ticket sales and raffles will also be donated to this organization.<br />Performers include spoken‐word artist and visionary Doe Renee, Shimmy Mob womens dance group and domestic violence activist. Event host, international performer and fashion designer, Xitlali also showcasing her students performance.
