Details

The only all-professional classical music festival along Colorado's Front Range. Performing at Boulder's historic Chautauqua Auditorium, the Colorado Music Festival provides six weeks of music in one of the state's most beautiful locations. Festival season includes traditional classical music performances with the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra, chamber music, Young People's Concerts, and an innovative Music Mash-Up series.

Mahler Symphony No. 3 <p>While composing Symphony No. 3, Gustav Mahler wrote: “Just imagine a work of such magnitude that it actually mirrors the whole world—one is, so to speak, only an instrument, played on by the universe. . . . My symphony will be something the like of which the world has never yet heard! . . . In it the whole of nature finds a voice.”<br /><br />Symphony No. 3 99-minute, six-movement, transcendental masterpiece is a rare treat at historic Chautauqua Auditorium.
