Chiho Aoshima: Takaamanohara, The High Plain of Heaven
This exhibition presents two videos by Japanese artist Chiho Aoshima – Takaamanohara and City Glow. Drawing from traditional Japanese Shinto mythology and contemporary Anime films, these immersive, highly detailed video works invite the viewer into another world.

The title of Aoshima’s large-scale video Takaamanohara, The Plain of High Heaven, refers to a place where Shinto deities reside. With a vivid imagination and a saturated color palette, this video retells a creation story about the time when the gods of heaven separated from the gods of the land.
30 W. Yoshitomo Saito: millionyearseeds
Born in Tokyo, Japan but residing in the United States since 1983, Yoshitomo Saito finds inspiration in the minutia of the natural world, drawing out details of the environment surrounding us and elements of everyday experiences that most would miss or take for granted.

In 2006, Saito moved to the Rocky Mountain region in search of a new and affordable live/work situation to pursue the lifestyle of a fully engaged independent artist. Utilizing the Italian lost-wax process of bronze casting at his Ironton Studios foundry in the RiNo Art District of Denver, the artist freezes delicate, organic objects in time and assembles them into immersive, meditative, thoughtful and sometimes humorous installations.
30 W. Fully Committed
This devastatingly funny one-act follows a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan’s number one restaurant.

Coercion, threats, bribes, and histrionics – a cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam’s got his own needs to contend with – his recently widowed dad wants him home for Christmas, and he’s up for a choice part at Lincoln Center. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities, and egomaniacal bosses, can he manage to look out for himself? A wonderful acting challenge, Fully Committed has forty wildly diverse characters played by a single versatile performer.
30 W. Dale St. Colorado Springs, CO America/North_Dakota/Center

An Evening with Paul Reiser (CO Springs)
Comedian, actor, television writer, author, and musician, Paul Reiser has spent the last 30+ years acting in Oscar and Emmy award-winning movies and TV shows. He was voted one of Comedy Central’s “Top 100 Comedians of All Time.”

2017 was an exciting year for the NY-bred and LA-based Reiser, who made a number of appearances on screen and even lent his talents behind the camera.

Reiser joined the cast of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ for the series’ highly anticipated second season. In a role created by the Duffer brothers with him specifically in mind, Reiser will play Dr. Owens, a high-ranking member of the Department of Energy who is brought to the small town to investigate the supernatural situations at play.

Reiser collaborates with David Gordon Green (‘Pineapple Express,’ ‘Prince Avalanche’) and Steven Sorderbergh on the critically-acclaimed hit Amazon series ‘Red Oaks.’ Reiser’s role as Doug Getty, the president of a New Jersey country club in a nostalgic 80s themed setting, was called “one of his absolute finest, not just of late, but of ever.”
30 W.
