This restaurant pays homage to the rich Italian history of its founding father, Chef Frank Bonanno, and is named for the oldest Bonanno son, Luca (whose charcoal portrait hangs in the dining room). Luca opened Valentine’s Day 2003, on Luca’s birthday. Luca is a traditional Italian eatery heavily influenced by French cooking technique. We are consistently rated among the nation’s top restaurants for food and service and as Denver’s best Italian venue. The wine list is 100% Italian, but this list, the food menu, and the cocktail menu change monthly to reflect the bounty of each season’s offerings at the peak of their flavor profiles. We have an aggressive cheese and salumi program at Luca; we brought the first Burrata to Denver, then improved upon it by making our own; we cure our own products when possible.
