Big Gay Matinee!: Auntie Mame
Screens Sunday, December 23rd at 2pm as part of our Big Gay Matinee! series!
With a special pre-film drag performance by Kai Lee Mykels!

Join us in celebrating the gay cult classics every month at our Big Gay Matinee! Complete your Sunday Funday - after you brunch and before you hit beer bust - as we look at what makes some films catnip for gay audiences. Come early for pre-show entertainment, drink specials and more hosted by Keith Garcia and friends!

It's the holiday season and family is on the mind. In the gay community we often to get to choose our own family, many of us finding solace in people like us who are just striving to be ourselves despite many aspects of the world telling us not to. Auntie Mame, based on the runaway best-seller was steeped in the secret gay culture of the 1950s and this acclaimed film did its best to keep that flavor intact and cast the wonderful Rosalind Russell to portray one of literature's greatest free spirits who is gayer than a Christmas cake with a chosen family that’s just as nutty. So bring your family, no matter where you found them, and celebrate the holidays with Mame and hers.
2510 E. Colfax Ave. Denver, CO America/North_Dakota/Center
