What is The Goods?
The Goods is more than a restaurant with amazing food, we are a platform for positive change in our communities, our city, our nation, and our world.
Change begins with grassroots communities.
The Goods is a reasonable and approachable neighborhood culinary powerhouse for all people to enjoy and an underground grassroots community supporter of positive change.
Actually, we provide a lot of help and support to people and communities above-ground too; we just don't talk about it or promote it very much.
But that’s what makes us…us.
We aren’t doing it for press or recognition.
We do it because we want to. Because our hearts speak to us. And we listen.
We care deeply about our communities and we care about Colfax. We love that Colfax is still a street filled with mostly independent local business owners. We love the diversity and culture; it's what makes Colfax well, Colfax. We wouldn't want it any other way.
We also care deeply about our menu. We’re vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, keto, and yet, we also have traditional neighborhood dishes too, like our Best Burger on Earth and our Best Turkey Burger in the Whole Galaxy. (There is “that one turkey burger on Mars” though. Just say ‘in.)
We care about our communities and our food.
But one thing is for sure: The Goods is truly Open to All.
When I dream of a beautiful place in the future, where all people come together, where all races, cultures, demographics, politics, socioeconomic status, and sexes - where all people - us - human beings - where all of our dogma comes together…
This is what I hope The Goods is and will continue to grow to be.
A place for ALL people, with some pretty awesome food and drinks too.
