Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel.Just as the trolley was the comfortable yet progressive way to travel through Denver in the early 20th Century, The Nickel’s menu feels comfortable yet progressive. Quality ingredients inform familiar and approachable dishes, yet they come together in unexpected ways to create elevated comfort food. The restaurant aims to make all guests feel the warmth of familiarity within its doors, from friendly and knowledgeable service to the comforting aromas coming out of the kitchen.

The Nickel also offers an extensive charcuterie program that features handpicked meats and cheeses from around the globe, while the centerpiece of the restaurant, The Barrel Bar, offers house barrel-aged cocktails on tap. Enjoy a Standard Rock Manhattan or a Nickel Negroni, made with barrel-aged gin, Dolin Rouge vermouth, Campari and orange peel. Also featured on the menu are seasonal handcrafted CBD cocktails.

The Nickel is located within Hotel Teatro, Denver’s Original Boutique Hotel.

a dining experience worth celebrating
