Our little hotel turned hostel has been hosting guests for more than a century on the corner of 11th & Broadway, growing and changing with the times, and we love what we do. The dream of owning Denver’s largest hostel came to Jim in 2007. He wanted to create a place that he would enjoy staying, and one he would feel comfortable with his kids traveling to. Slowly and surely, he began renovating what was then 11th Avenue Hotel.
A new coat of paint here, a fresh bathroom there, and constant maintenance of the neon sign. It was a long process. People were not kind during the painful process of growth. But he kept going.
Nearly 10-years later, his middle daughter, Sydney, joined the team. Fresh out of college, she was eager to help him bring his hostel vision to life, and show Americans how wonderful hosteling could be.
They spent two years planning their renovation, placing every outlet, mapping every light fixture, drawing and re-drawing their plans to make the hostel of their dreams a reality. From 2019-2022 new life was breathed into our historic 1903 hotel.
On February 9th, 2022, the hostel officially reopened to welcome travelers from all over the world.
It is the honor of our lifetime to share our beautiful space with you, and we are grateful you chose to stay at Denver’s oldest & coolest hostel.

Our location is right in the heart of downtown Denver, so you can explore the Denver Art Museum, the State Capitol, go on a hike, visit a concert, or attend a conference at the Convention Center, and it’s all just a walk away.
