Calder: Monumental is a celebration of the late Alexander Calder (1898-1976), an iconic artist who pioneered moving sculptures and dramatic presentations.

Calder: Monumental features works of bolted steel plate–which rise in sweeping curves, or puncture space with geometric lines–revealing the artist's exploration of forms, volumes and voids. Using shapes that resonate with the natural world, Calder's large lively abstractions interact with the surrounding landscape. These pieces are especially striking with the lush surroundings at Denver Botanic Gardens
