FILM ON THE ROCKS

One of Denver's top summertime events, Film On The Rocks lets you enjoy blockbuster entertainment on the big screen in the incomparable setting of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The great cinema is just the beginning of the fun. Each Film On The Rocks event features an opening comedian or band as well as fun, audience participation contests. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., bands begin playing at approximately 7 p.m. and movies start at dusk.

Historic Elitch Theatre Summer Film Series

The Historic Elitch Theatre Summer Film Series is a family-friendly film series that offers great movies and raises money for a great cause. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening under the stars and help raise funds to continue the restoration of the magnificent Historic Elitch Theatre (4655 W. 37th Ave.)! Tickets are $5; gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Dive-In Movies

After a day of fun at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, unwind with a "dive-in" movie at Island Kingdom Water Park, free with any park admission or season pass.

Monday Movie Madness at Infinity Park in Glendale

Enjoy free flicks in Glendale this summer during Monday Movie Madness at Infinity Park (4599 E. Tennessee Ave., Glendale). As has become tradition, viewers have voted on and chosen the movies that will be shown this year, some of which are recent box office hits combined with several classic favorites. It's free! Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

Movie on the Green

Grab a blanket and a lawn chair for the outdoor Movie on the Green at Stapleton's Founders Green (29th Ave. and Roslyn St.). Films are free and concessions benefit local nonprofit organizations.

Movies on the Square

Southlands (6155 S. Main Street, Aurora) includes a four-block Main street and community plaza surrounded by shops, restaurants. During the summer, when the sun goes down, the big screen goes up, with Movies on the Square beginning at dusk.

For four Wednesday nights each summer, E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park (11701 Community Center Dr., Northglenn) invites the community to gather for a free outdoor movie.

This family-friendly series features free music and a movie on Friday nights in downtown Golden's Parfet Park (10th St. and Washington Ave.). Music begins at 7 p.m. and movies start at dusk, around 8:30 p.m.
