There's no better way to spend a cool summer night in The Mile High City than enjoying a great movie in the great outdoors, whether on a blanket in the grass or from the comfort of your car.
OUTDOOR MOVIES IN DENVER
Grab a blanket and a lawn chair for the Outdoor Movie Series on The South Green in Central Park. Films are free and begin at dusk. The concession stand will not be open during the 2021 season, but food trucks are often parked at these events, providing local goodies and food items.

Join Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse for an outdoor summer movie series in their new backyard space. Enjoy themed cocktails and nibbles at each show. Doors open at 8 p.m. and movies will begin at dusk. Tickets are $5 per person and 100 percent of ticket sales will go to Big City Mountaineers, a local organization dedicated to improving the lives of under-resourced kids by getting them outdoors on wilderness expeditions. Advanced tickets are required and guests must bring their own chair or blanket and set up on a marked "x" to ensure social distancing.
Bierstadt Lagerhaus is set up with all social-distancing measures in place, with tables spread throughout the entire Beer Hall. Come early to get the best seats, because only 50 people will be allowed in for each film — first come, first served. Movies are free, and beer and munchies will be available for purchase, so bring your appetite!
After a day of fun at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, unwind with a "dive-in" movie at Island Kingdom Water Park. Movies begin around 7:30 p.m. on Friday nights and are free with any park admission or season pass.
OUTDOOR MOVIES NEAR DENVER
Enjoy free flicks in Glendale this summer during Monday Movie Madness at Infinity Park. As has become tradition, viewers have voted on and chosen the movies that will be shown this year, and it's a mix of recent box office hits combined with several classic favorites. Best of all, it's free! Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

One of Denver's top summertime events, Film On The Rocks lets you enjoy blockbuster entertainment on the big screen in the incomparable setting of Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Morrison. This year's Film on the Rocks will be a new, drive-in experience! Every car will receive a concessions package including two bottles of Coca-Cola product, City Pop popcorn, and theater-sized M&M’s and Twizzlers. In addition, Chick-Fil-A is available for discounted pre-purchase online or cashless payment on-site. Gates open at 6 p.m. and movies start at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $59.50 per car.

The Dairy Arts Center in Boulder has turned arthouse cinema for the summer! Movies will start when it is dark, so please arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. so that you can get a parking space. Tickets are $25 per car and must be purchased in advance.
Produced by the Highlands Ranch Community Association, this annual film series features free movies at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch on select nights in August. Shows start around dusk and blankets and lawn chairs are welcome!
