Campaign HubVISIT DENVER, the Colorado Restaurant Association, and the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association developed a survey for all candidates focused on the tourism and hospitality industry.
Responses from the candidates will be added to this page after the survey collection is complete.
In 2021, 35,890 jobs in the City and County of Denver were supported by tourism. CRA, CHLA, and VISIT DENVER represent the businesses, employees, and employers in the tourism and hospitality industry. Responses to this survey will be shared with the members and partners who are a part of these organizations. Read more below about each organization that collaborated on developing this survey.
The Colorado Restaurant Association is a trade organization dedicated to the enhancement and success of Colorado’s foodservice industry. Representing more than 5,000 restaurants throughout the state -- and approximately 2,000 in the Denver Metro Area -- the association works to promote and protect the industry and, through the Colorado Restaurant Foundation, its workforce. In 2022, Colorado restaurants are expected to generate more than $14 billion in sales while employing 238,000 workers in 12,500+ establishments. More than 69% of Colorado’s restaurants are independently owned and operated; travelers and tourists spent $4.8 billion on food service in Colorado in 2021. The Colorado Restaurant Association contributes to candidate campaigns, but does not endorse candidates. Information from the survey will be published to members of the restaurant association. CHLA’s mission is to “educate and advocate on issues that ensure the success of Colorado's lodging industry, providing members with a diverse professional network.” CHLA actively lobbies issues of importance to the industry at the State Capitol and in all front-range municipalities. CHLA does endorse and does provide funding for candidates, and responses to this survey will be shared with our nearly 650 members. Please contact Amie Mayhew, President & CEO at amayhew@chla.com or (303)-297-8335 should you need additional information.
VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, was founded in 1909. Our mission is to bring conventions and leisure visitors to Denver for the economic benefit of the City, the community and our partners. In 2021, Denver welcomed 31.7 million total visitors, and 16.6 million overnight visitors, who spent $6.6 billion in our local economy and supported more than 35,890 jobs in Denver and 81,340 across the metro area. VISIT DENVER does not endorse or support candidates but responses to this survey will be shared with our nearly 1,300 partners to educate them about candidates’ positions on key tourism and hospitality policy issues.
