SeriesFest

SeriesFest Season 10 will take place May 1–5, 2024.

What Is SeriesFest?

SeriesFest is a festival celebrating the art of independent TV series creation — here in the birthplace of cable television. The event showcases the best new pilots from across the globe by both seasoned and emerging content creators in an international, juried competition. As the LA Times put it, SeriesFest aims "to give television its own Sundance."

The festival's screenings will take place at the state-of-the-art Sie FilmCenter, with additional programs and events at a variety of Denver venues such as Hotel Clio Denver Cherry Creek and beautiful Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Morrison. SeriesFest is currently pursuing expanded opportunities and partnerships that will provide exciting programming, conversations and networking events that bring together the SeriesFest community. SeriesFest is proud to once again partner with the Denver Film Society.

Season Ten: What We Know

The annual festival will include competition screenings, one-of-a-kind workshops and engaging panel discussions, including one with “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner Meg Marinis and actors James Pickens Jr, Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone and Kim Raver reflecting on the impact of the two decades of the iconic medical drama. You'll also be privy to never-before-seen sneak peeks and television premieres, including the world premiere of “Unconventional” and the premiere of the third season of the streaming hit “Harry Wild,” followed by a Q&A session with actress Jane Seymour.

Watch in-depth conversations with top television industry leaders like Beatrice Springborn, Betsy Beers and Mark Duplass during SeriesFest’s signature Innovation Talk. The International Spotlight program will showcase original works from more than nine countries, including “This is Not Sweden” (Spain, Sweden, Germany, Finland), “Zorro” (Spain, Mexico), “Estonia” (Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Estonia), “Haven of Grace” (France), “Lost Boys and Fairies” (United Kingdom) and “Split” (France).

In celebration of SeriesFest's tenth anniversary, the inaugural SeriesFest Soiree on May 3 will welcome and honor Betsy Beers, Shondaland; cast and creators from “Grey’s Anatomy”; and SAG-AFTRA and award-winning Minnie Driver for their impact on television.

SeriesFest will close out at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with an official Cowboy Carter Dance Party, endorsed by Beyonce. JZ‘s tour DJ, DJ Young Guru, will headline with a set featuring Beyonce’s newest album alongside her greatest hits. Special guests from the album, including Tiera Kennedy (featured on the track “Blackbiird”) will join the lineup with live performances.
