About the VISIT DENVER Foundation

The VISIT DENVER Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, was established in 1996 and is generously sponsored and supported by VISIT DENVER, as well as by individuals and corporations in the Denver metro area and beyond. The VISIT DENVER Foundation's goal is to promote the hospitality and tourism industry in the Denver metro area through activities and projects that enhance education, professional development and training for individuals interested in the hospitality and tourism industry.

To achieve this goal, the VISIT DENVER Foundation provides scholarships designed to support undergraduate students pursuing associate and bachelor’s degrees in hospitality or tourism at accredited universities or colleges in Colorado. In 2023, the Foundation began to provide scholarship dollars to the Emily Griffith Foundation to support students in the Emily Griffith Technical College Culinary program.

In its 24 years, the Foundation has:

Contributed $120,000 to the former mayor's homeless initiative, Denver's Road Home, to support educational opportunities
Given $30,000 to the Emily Griffith Foundation
Given $10,000 to the Junior Achievement Hospitality Program
Hosted the Denver & Colorado Tourism Hall of Fame dinner, beginning in 1999
