Denver International Airport (DEN) was ranked among the best airports in the world in 2016 according to a worldwide customer survey and was honored at the Skytrax World Airport Awards. DEN ranks as the second largest airport in the world by size, the sixth-busiest airport in the United States and the 19th-busiest airport in the world, handling more than 54 million passengers annually. With the April 22, 2016 opening of the University of Colorado A Line commuter rail to Union Station, DEN became one of only a handful of US airports with a train to the downtown center.
