TIME Magazine named Denver one of the “World’s Greatest Places of 2021,” placing The Mile High City on a list of the top 100 destinations to explore this year. Before the pandemic struck, Lonely Planet named Denver one of the “Top Ten Cities in the World to Visit in 2020,” citing The Mile High City’s creative energy, culinary scene and new cultural attractions. Additionally, Popular UK travel publication, Rough Guides, crowned Denver the “Top Worldwide City to Visit in 2020,” focusing on the city’s proximity to the Rocky Mountains, the vibrant music and cultural scene and its neighborhoods. National Geographic included Denver in their list of “25 global destinations on the rise” in November 2020. Harper’s BAZAAR proclaimed Denver among the “20 Best Places to Travel in 2021”, given our proximity to outdoor adventure, green initiatives, new hotels and cultural facilities. Travelocity cited Denver as one of the top five most popular family vacation destinations for spring and summer travel this year, especially given our proximity to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure, as well as family-friendly breweries and restaurants; and Denver was named one of TravelPulse’s Top US and International Spring Break Travel Destinations in March 2021.
