Celebrate the outdoors at the first-ever Outside Festival, June 1–2, 2024. The event will feature live music, adventure films, thought-provoking speakers, immersive experiences, the latest outdoor gear and more.

The Outside Festival will take over Civic Center Park in downtown Denver and feature an array of dynamic activities and experiences, including:

Music: Thundercat, Lettuce and Say She She will headline the festival on Saturday, June 1, followed by Fleet Foxes, Andrew Bird and the Heavy Heavy on Sunday, June 2. Additional popular Colorado bands will take the stage throughout the weekend and concertgoers can expect a unique and immersive musical journey set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Film & Ideas Summit: From documentaries to adventure films, the festival will also feature a full weekend lineup to captivate audiences. Screenings will take place at the Denver Art Museum, with films curated in partnership with the Boulder International Film Festival, Telluride’s Mountainfilm Festival and the Mountains of Color Film Festival. Plus, there will be other featured speakers such as record-breaking athletes, bestselling authors, world-renowned explorers, leading activists and inspiring artists.

Gear: The Outside Festival will be a destination for outdoor enthusiasts to scope out all the best gear — from demos and editor recommendations to the latest from the Outside Lab @ CU Denver, a state-of-the-art gear testing facility. The festival grounds will showcase the best of the outdoors with support from Outside’s network of leading brands: Velo, Backpacker, Climbing, Pinkbike, Gaia GPS, Trailforks and SKI.

Festival Experiences: Attendees will find fun festival experiences from yoga and wellness to kid-focused activities from Denver’s Museum of Nature and Science, and more throughout the weekend. The North Face’s climbing wall will feature climbing competitions, while Adaptive Adventures will provide an accessible climbing experience to inspire the next generation of adventurers.

With a desire to make the outdoors more accessible, the Outside Festival strives to inspire and promote outdoor pursuits for the health of people and the planet; create more opportunities for access and inclusion in the outdoors; and serve as a model for sustainable practices.

“We’re on a mission to get everyone outside and to inspire, educate, and activate more people to experience everything the outdoors has to offer,” said Robin Thurston, Outside CEO.
