Doors Open Denver

From historic structures to contemporary builds, this event is an homage to Denver’s ever-changing architecture. The autumnal event draws architecture, art, history and culture enthusiasts, exploring and experiencing featured sites through in-person and virtual tours.

Corn Maze at Chatfield Farms

WHEN: Thru Oct. 29, 2022
WHERE: Denver Botanic Gardens – Chatfield Farms
Get lost in Chatfield Farms' seven-acre Corn Maze, or simply watch the fun from one of two 15-foot tall illuminated bridges. Smaller visitors (age 10 and under) can explore the corn mini-maze. 

Handmade in Colorado Expo (Cherry Creek)

WHEN: Sept. 30–Oct. 2, 2022
WHERE: Various venues throughout Denver

The 14th annual Handmade in Colorado Expo is a juried event showcasing some of Colorado's best fine art and contemporary craft. The event will feature a vast array of independent designers producing original handcrafted goods from a wide array of media including metals, paper, glass, fibers, food, fabricated objects, clay, paint, wax, gems and more. All work sold will be created from both emerging and experienced artisans from Colorado. This event has free admission and some great local live music and performance art.

Denver Oddities and Curiosities Expo 2022

Lovers of the strange, unusual and bizarre won't want to miss the Denver Oddities & Curiosities Expo! This event focuses on the weird, with local and national vendors selling all things strange and unusual: taxidermy, preserved specimens, odd antiques, horror and Halloween merchandise, original artwork, animal and human skulls/bones, jewelry made from insects/bones, clothing, antique medical equipment, vintage circus collectibles and much more.

Prairie Harvest Fest

Back for a third year, this free fan-favorite event features all things fall, including hay rides, games, a pumpkin patch and more! Headlined by Denver's favorite band: Funkiphino!

Great American Beer Festival®

Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms

Choctoberfest

Pumpkin Harvest Festival

WHEN: Oct. 8–9, 2022
WHERE: Four Mile Historic Park
This annual gourd gala is the perfect way to kick off the fall season! Select your perfect pumpkin from the patch and dine on seasonal favorites, including apple cider donuts. Activities included with general admission include prairie games; fall-themed crafts and activities; live demonstrations of blacksmithing and fiber pulling; performances from local dance troupes, bands and cultural organizations; an artisan farmers' market featuring a curated list of locally sourced vendors; face painting and decorations along the festival trail; tractor rides and gold panning! An upgrade option is also available, which will include the Dry Dock VIP Lounge with dedicated face painter, craft stations for kids and a private bar for adults. 

Candy Crawl

Join The Shops at Northfield for this free annual family-friendly Halloween event. Enjoy trick or treating at participating retailers, hay rides, crafts, thriller dancers, giveaways, contests and more! Learn about the farm animals from The Urban Farm and meet and greet the DPD and Fire Department.

Ghosts in the Gardens – Open Air Scare

WHEN: Oct. 13–29, 2022
WHERE: Denver Botanic Gardens
Tag along at Denver Botanic Gardens after hours as guides share haunting stories of the Gardens’ 100 years of history inside and outside of what used to be called “The Boneyard.” Each tour features staff ghost stories, real overnight security ghost encounters and intriguing history, including access to the haunted Waring House, which is not normally open to the public. 

LeakyCon

WHEN: Oct. 14–16, 2022
WHERE: Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center
LeakyCon is the world’s largest convention for the fan community that grew out of the Harry Potter franchise. Join some of the biggest fans, actors and creators to celebrate the magic of fandom. LeakyCon features panels, interviews, game shows, cosplay contests, discussions, workshops and more, all packed into an epic three-day weekend.

Victorian Horrors

WHEN: Oct. 14–16, 20–22 and 27–29, 2022
WHERE: Molly Brown House Museum
The ghosts of Victorian Horrors past are rising! Creep from room to room of the historic Molly Brown House, hearing tales directly from gothic greats and some notable locals. Your visit with the spirits will be approximately 45–60 minutes. !our presence enlivens their lonely existence! Just remember: ghosts don't do tours, so please plan a visit to the museum during daylight hours if you'd like to spend time looking at the house. 

Westy Half & 5k

Get out to enjoy the crisp autumn air at the Westy Half & 5k. Wear your favorite Halloween costume and dress your pup in a costume too! Stick around after your run/walk for finisher food, free photos, age group awards, expo shopping and to cheer on fellow runners at the finish line.

Glow at the Gardens

WHERE: Denver Botanic Gardens
Wind your way down luminaria-lined pathways decked with spooky lighting displays and hundreds of carved, glowing gourds. Pumpkin artists use all local pumpkins to the boundaries of traditional pumpkin carving and create larger-than-life sculptures, dense displays of jack-o'-lanterns and ornately detailed showpiece pumpkins. You'll also enjoy a wide array of activities and entertainment, as well as seasonal food and beverages.

Spooky Streets

This is free fall fun for the entire family! Enjoy an entertainment stage, face painting, balloon artists, dance party, parade of costumes and more.

HalloQueen 2022

WHEN: Oct. 22, 2022
WHERE: The Ogden Theatre
Jukebox the Ghost Presents: HalloQueen 2022! For Halloween, piano-pop trio Jukebox the Ghost puts on a particular kind of costume: a 'musical costume.' Dubbing it "HalloQueen," the group turns their admiration of Queen into a holiday event as they perform two sets: one full set of Jukebox the Ghost originals, followed by a brief intermission with a costume contest, and the another full set in character as Queen!

Treat Street at the Arapahoe County Scaregrounds

WHEN: Oct. 22, 2022
WHERE: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Event Center, Aurora
Come out to the Arapahoe County Scaregrounds for a safe day of trick-or-treating and spooktacular family fun. In addition to trick or treating, there will be games and activities, a petting farm, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin painting, live entertainment, Thriller dance performances, a costume contest, food trucks, an adult beer garden and more! Tickets are $10 per person, but entry is free for anyone wearing a Halloween costume! (Kids under 2 years old are also free.)

Spirits & Spirits

Head to Four Mile Historic Park for a uniquely immersive Halloween-themed event that will give you an opportunity to explore the grounds after dark while entering the otherworldly realm of Victorian Spiritualism. Adult libations, delectable provisions and fantastical amusements will be offered at this signature event at the 12-acre historic oasis in the city. Grim Mountain Legends will provide live performances based on true stories of hauntings, murder and the supernatural experiences that have happened in Colorado. The Metaphysical Marketplace will also open its doors during Spirits & Spirits, giving folks a chance to buy unique crystals and curios.

Runnin' of the Green Lucky 7K

Denver March Powwow

Denver International Sportsmen's Exposition
