Beethoven and Brews

Enjoy unlimited sample pours from a number of your favorite local and national breweries while listening to popular music selections from a Colorado Symphony ensemble. During the festival, food will be available for purchase from on-site food trucks. You can also compete in a spirited stein holding competition, with the chance to win tickets to future Colorado Symphony performances! Following the outdoor festival, enter Boettcher Concert Hall and experience the Colorado Symphony perform well-known selections by Beethoven. The concert will include an hour-long intermission, where you can mingle with Colorado Symphony musicians and enjoy additional sample pours in Sculpture Park between sets.

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre Concerts

No summer in Denver is complete without at least one — or two, or five — trips to the awe-inspiring Red Rocks Amphitheatre, just 15 miles from downtown Denver. More than 70 million years in the making, the 9,450-seat venue is flanked by enormous 300-foot red sandstone rock formations and always boasts a star-studded musical schedule.

Arvada Center Outdoor Amphitheater & Front Porch Concerts

The Arvada Center's  Outdoor Amphitheater offers exceptional acoustics in an intimate setting perfect for enjoying live music featuring national and local artists. The amphitheater features a weather-friendly covered seating area with close-up views of the stage and delicious concessions, including burgers, sandwiches, beer and wine. And on Wednesday evenings from July to September, the Front Porch Series presents local solo and duet musical acts, food and brews in a shady, beer-garden setting on the front plaza. ​

Levitt Pavilion Concerts

The Levitt Pavilion is a state-of-the-art amphitheater in Ruby Hill Park that was created as a gift to the community. This outdoor venue hosts a slew of free concerts every summer, and a few ticketed events, too. Bring a blanket and a picnic, kick back on the lawn and enjoy artists from a wide range of genres.

Unearthed: Voices of Leadville's Shanty Irish

During the late 1800s, what was once a small gold camp in the high mountains of Colorado became one of the most important Irish immigrant communities in the United States. Three thousand Irish-born residents came from other mining communities across North America and the British Isles, seeking work. They occupied the lowest rung on the social ladder, with nearly two-thirds of the men working underground. Facing stark poverty and with few opportunities to improve their livelihoods, the Leadville Irish formed some of the strongest and most important labor unions in Colorado.

Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep

Jurassic Oceans takes you back in time to experience a prehistoric underwater world. When dinosaurs ruled the land, the oceans teemed with equally fascinating and fearsome creatures. Explore the astonishing life of ancient seas, from the mighty Jurassic plesiosaur to the colossal megalodon that lived millions of years later, and uncover the captivating story of their evolution and ecosystems. Striking fossil specimens, including fully articulated 3D models and life-size casts, show ferocious predators and unusual prey in their natural habitats and tell the story of how they adapted to survive. Plus, this bilingual English and Spanish exhibition is filled with exciting hands-on activities that invite the imagination to swim wild!

Held Impermanence (Artists Select: Katherine Simóne Reynolds)

In the museum’s largest six galleries, Katherine Simóne Reynolds illuminates competing desires held in constant tension at the Clyfford Still Museum. The collection reflects Still’s ambitious attempt to keep his collection intact, a commitment that allows us to see his works alongside paintings made in painful transitions, and others that bear the scars of time. Held Impermanence asks visitors to consider healing and rest over time; how we respond to this collection with our bodies; and to contend with his and our mortality—and, with it, a shared desire to hold impermanence.

The Molly Brown House Museum has acquired exciting and rare Titanic artifacts! Explore an exhibit 113 years in the making as you follow the real-life experience of Margaret Brown, declared the Heroine of the Titanic for her ability to comfort and raise money for Titanic’s immigrant passengers who lost everything on their journey to a new world. And, learn how she stood up for the surviving crew who were seemingly abandoned by their employer, J. Bruce Ismay and the White Star Line.

¡Viva La Causa! Long Live the Cause! The Art of Change 

WHEN: Thru Oct. 5, 2025
WHERE: History Colorado Center
In every generation, some artists create work as a form of protest. Their art addresses the struggle for social justice and equality and encourages social change. ¡Viva La Causa! Long Live the Cause! highlights artwork created at the peak of two social justice movements: the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and ʼ70s and the Black Lives Matter movement in the early 2020s to explore themes of identity and empowerment in Colorado.

Confluence of Nature: Nancy Hemenway Barton 

WHEN: Thru Oct. 8, 2025
WHERE: Denver Art Museum
Confluence of Nature: Nancy Hemenway Barton features 12 textile wall sculptures and five works on paper by artist Nancy Hemenway Barton, each an exploration of the stunning locations from around the world that informed and inspired her artistic process. Hemenway, a multidisciplinary artist, found her voice as she traveled the world, experiencing rich colorful cultural traditions from the Andean weavers in Bolivia to appliquéd textiles by the Fon in Benin. She described these cultural traditions as natural art. Between 1966 and 1997, Hemenway created large-scale wall reliefs made from hand-loomed fabrics, primarily sourced from indigenous weaving communities, where she had lived and worked. Barton folded, tucked and embroidered her fabrics to create richly textured abstract works that reflected her deep connection to the natural world.

Horizon: On the Plains with John Fielder

WHERE: History Colorado Center
Horizon: On the Plains with John Fielder is a new exhibition that features a selection of iconic large-format prints by Colorado’s most celebrated nature photographer. These prints evoke the photographer's emotional connection to these sublime and diverse landscapes of Colorado and invite viewers to lose themselves in the expanse of the Great Plains.

Ms. Destiny 

WHEN: Thru March 29, 2026
WHERE: Center for Colorado Women's History
Throughout history, Colorado women have forged opportunity out of scarcity as they created lives they desired. Ms. Destiny highlights the stories of seven unique and resilient Colorado women who took fate into their hands, overcame barriers and defined their realities. Through the lenses of relationship, financial access and occupation, and presentation, Ms. Destiny explores the self-determination and tenacity of women in the Centennial State.

Guest of Honor: Rembrandt 

WHEN: Thru Feb. 6, 2027
WHERE: Denver Art Museum
A masterpiece by Rembrandt van Rijn titled A Woman Holding a Pink and an additional portrait of Rembrandt, likely painted by his studio, are on view in the European Art Before 1800 galleries (on the 6th level of the museum’s Martin Building) as part of the National Gallery’s “Across the Nation” program. The collaboration, which brings some of the most important and beloved works of art to communities across the country, is part of the NGA’s program commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America in 2026.
