1 / 1
Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy is commemorated in The Mile High City every January with what has grown to be one of the largest MLK Jr. Day celebrations in the U.S. — even larger than that of Washington, D.C.!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the unusually cold weather forecast for Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, event organizers have made some important changes. The Marade (March and Parade) will have a later start time and the programs in Civic Center Park have been canceled. See below.
Jan. 20, 2025
This annual event, combining both a march and a parade (hence the name), is the only one of its kind in the nation. The march goes from City Park to Civic Center Park.
